Our office is temporarily closed, so are Maryland courts

The Public Justice Center is taking steps to protect the health of our clients and staff and to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus by increasing social distancing.

Therefore, our office will be closed from Monday, March 16, until further notice. Most employees are working from home, and you can contact them directly. Even though the office is closed, they will get your phone or email message. If you are unsure who to contact, please call 410-625-9409.

The Court of Appeals of Maryland has placed on hold all residential evictions, residential eviction proceedings, residential foreclosure and tax sale foreclosure proceedings statewide. In other words, all of these cases and eviction orders and any new cases that are filed are paused indefinitely. More information about evictions is available here.

Maryland Health Connection is opening a coronavirus special enrollment period, which ends Wednesday, April 15. Coverage will kick in on April 1, 2020. This enrollment period is for new enrollments of uninsured Marylanders who are eligible. You can enroll by visiting www.marylandhealthconnection.gov/ or call free consumer assistance at 855-642-8572.
