#FundtheTrust: Unpacking the historic agreement around Baltimore City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund

10/10/2018

Justice for Breakfast discussion series

October 10, 2018 ~ 8:15 am

Thanks to a historic agreement between advocates and Baltimore City, the City will ultimately allocate approximately $20 million per year to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund! Based on the work of similar trust funds, this Fund could create or preserve over 4,000 affordable housing opportunities, support community land trusts, prevent eviction and homelessness for over 4,600 households, provide mobility and counseling to 6,000 families, repair or modify over 1,000 homes for seniors or those with disabilities and employ over 8,500 people. Come discuss what this means for fair, equitable development in Baltimore without displacing City residents.
