PJC Argues Prisoner Right to Public Info in Court of Special Appeals

On March 7, 2008, PJC Attorney Wendy Hess argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals on the case of Massey v. Galley. Mr. Massey is represented on appeal by the PJC and the ACLU of Maryland. This case has had a long history, including now two trips up to the appeals courts, to establish that prisoners have a right to public information the same as any other citizen, and without enduring excessive procedural hurdles.
