PJC and Latino Coalition Urge More Funding for Language Classes

February 8, 2005: In response to Governor Ehrlich's and Comptroller Schaefer's complaints that recent immigrants in fast food restaurants are not able to speak English, the Maryland Latino Coalition for Justice is supporting legislation to increase funding for English language classes.  PJC's attorney Ricardo Flores, President of the MLCJ, points out that immigrants want to learn English, and are hindered by the limited number of classes available.
