PJC and FYI to speak on panels this Saturday

Debra Gardner, Legal Director of the PJC and Shantel Randolph, OSI Fellow and Director of Foster Youth Incorporated, will be speaking on panels this Saturday, March 28th, at the National Lawyers Guild Regional Conference held at the University of Maryland Law School at 500 W. Baltimore Avenue.
The list of panels follows:
- "Right to Counsel as a Fundamental Human Right" from 1pm - 2:30pm
Featuring: Wilhelm Joseph (Executive Director, Maryland Legal Aid Bureau), Debra Gardner (Legal Director, Public Justice Center), and Doug Colbert (Professor of Law, University of Maryland).  Moderated by Bia Riaz.
- "Youth Leadership and Empowerment: Incorporating the Voices of Youth in Legal Work and Activism" from 2:30 - 4pm
Featuring: Terry Hickey (Executive Director, Community Law in Action), Shantel Randolph and Foster Youth, Inc., and the 95% Youth Movement. Moderated by Ramesh Kasarabada.
- "Countering Corporate Control by Restoring Workers Rights: The Employee Free Choice Act" from 4:30 - 6pm.
Featuring: Jon Hiatt (General Counsel, AFL-CIO), Marley Weiss (Professor of Law, University of Maryland), and Lance Geren (Attorney, Freeman Lorry, P.C.).  Moderated by Tom Gagliardo.
There will be a plenary lunch beginning at 12pm for only $5, and post-conference activities are also in the work for those wishing to socialize after the panels.
You may register in person beginning at 11am on the 28th.  The conference is $20 for Attorneys, $10 for Legal Workers, $5 for Law Students, and $10 for members of the public.
