Tenants In Foreclosure

As the recession’s grip on families worsens, the number of tenants forced from homes because of foreclosure on their landlord is growing rapidly. Forty percent of the people affected by foreclosure are those who rent their housing. In 2009, new state and federal laws were passed to better inform and protect tenants. We take our responsibility seriously: educating judges, the bar, tenants and community organizations and advocating for tenants' rights in the Rules Committee in the Court of Appeal and Maryland General Assembly. We also represent tenants who find themselves in this difficult position.
