Fellowships

Murnaghan Appellate Advocacy Fellowship

The Francis D. Murnaghan, Jr. Appellate Advocacy Fellowship allows a recent law graduate who has completed a judicial clerkship to spend a year engaging in appellate advocacy in the areas of civil rights and poverty law. The Fellow works at the Public Justice Center in our Appellate Advocacy Project. Applications for each fellowship year are usually due in October of the previous year. Please visit the Murnaghan Fellowship website for further information and application instructions.

Other Fellowships

The PJC may consider being a host for a Skadden or Equal Justice Works Fellowship that would begin in the fall of each year. Please send a letter briefly describing your interests and proposed project ideas to Legal Director Debra Gardner by June 30 of the previous year to receive full consideration. PJC will select a candidate in July and then work with the candidate to complete the application by the September deadline.

For other fellowships, e.g. law-school-sponsored post-graduate fellowships, please send a letter briefly describing your interests and proposed project ideas to Legal Director Debra Gardner in sufficient time to be considered according to the fellowship timeline.

Internships at other times of year
